Episode 126: Red Sox Digest LIVE! — THE COLLAPSE HAS BEEN POSTPONED: Red Sox SWEEP Baltimore!

The collapse has officially been postponed.
The Boston Red Sox went into Baltimore and did something almost nobody on the Red Sox Digest crew expected — they swept all four games from the Orioles. Nick and John break down the suddenly surging Sox, including huge performances from the pitching staff, Adley Rutschman’s memorable return to Camden Yards, Sonny Gray continuing his outstanding season, Ranger Suárez finally delivering the kind of dominant start Boston has been waiting for, and Eli White somehow turning into an RBI machine.
Aroldis Chapman also enters rare territory by recording career save No. 400, leading to a bigger discussion about where he ranks among Red Sox closers and whether any active pitcher has a realistic shot at joining the 400-save club.
Then comes the less enjoyable part: Boston’s growing injury list. Garrett Crochet, Ceddanne Rafaela, Wilson Contreras, Justin Slaten and others remain major postseason storylines as the Red Sox try to get healthy without blowing the playoff position they’ve built.
Christian Campbell is crushing the ball in Worcester, but should Boston bring him back if there isn’t an everyday position available? Nick and John debate whether Campbell deserves another opportunity now — and whether his long-term future even fits this roster.
The guys also unload on modern baseball’s injury problems, replay review, ABS, the strike-zone box, the ghost runner and the disappearing concept of pitchers actually throwing innings.
Finally, they preview Boston’s upcoming three-game series against the Angels, argue over whether another sweep is coming, take viewer questions and remember former Red Sox manager Joe Morgan and the legacy of “Morgan Magic.”
The Red Sox completed an unexpected four-game sweep of Baltimore and significantly strengthened their Wild Card position.
Roman Anthony struggled statistically in the series, going 1-for-15, but his late home run in the opener…
